After the tragic death of his son and his family last year, he decided to surprise his mother before celebrating his 25th birthday.
Caitlin Johnson, a 30-year-old speech therapist, said her mother-in-law last saw her, her husband, and their daughter when they visited their home in Phoenix, US, so they travelled to Biloxi, Mississippi, US, to surprise her.
With the help of Caitlin’s husband’s stepfather, they managed to keep it a secret until they arrived at the door.
Caitlin said: “It felt amazing that she was happy to see us and her first grandbaby, to pose as a distraction from her grief.”
