Little boy stands center stage with instructor and steal shows with tapdancing moves

Flashback to 2011 at the D.C. Tap Festival, where a memorable tap dance routine took place.
Justin M. Lewis and Luke Spring, a duo of unequalled talent, graced the stage with their presence.

As soon as their performance began, the audience was visibly stunned by their talent.

The cheers and applause were instantaneous, showing the impressive moves and rhythm displayed by the duo.

Despite the noticeable height difference, Justin and Luke seemed to be on the same wavelength.

Justin, a native of D.C., began his dance journey at the tender age of five. His inspiration came from watching the movie “Tap” featuring Gregory Hines.

 

 

This early start in dance created a relatable bond between him and Luke, each finding a kindred spirit in the other.

Justin’s biography reveals a rich history in dance.
He studied at Knock On Wood Tap Studio in Silver Spring, Maryland, and later joined the Pre-Professional Company, Tappers With Attitude (TWA).

His talent took him to prestigious stages like the Lincoln Theatre, Kennedy Center, and even the Apollo Theatre in New York City.

He further honed his skills at Columbia College Chicago, majoring in Performing Arts Management.

Justin’s career didn’t stop there. He became a principal dancer on “Tap Worx” at Universal Studios in Hollywood and performed with Rhythmic Circus’ “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now.”

His journey took him across the country, gracing various stages and even performing at Super Bowl 52.

Luke, sharing a similar talent trajectory with Justin, seems destined for a bright future.

Their performance was a seamless display of synchronicity and fluidity, a result of countless hours of rehearsal.

The dedication and energy invested in their routine were evident and paid off beautifully.

The duo executed a series of rapid tap moves, twirls, and large steps with precision.
